I’m driving Sam to Seneca and a neighbor is getting a new roof.
T: look guys they’re getting a new roof.
M: awh, I wish we had a new roof.
T: I know, we probably need one.
S: well then let’s get one.
T: we can’t right now, roofs cost a lot of money.
S: oh
A minute later…
S: I know mom….we can take our piggy banks……..and we could….go to Lowe’s……..And we could use our piggy bank’s money…. To buy a new roof. Would that be a great idea? (This whole utterance took about 60 seconds to get out, and the whole time I think, I hope, I know where this is going, telling myself don’t interrupt him, let him finish, don’t finish his sentence for him! And he did!)
T: that is a great idea! That’s so nice, thank you for offering to share your money! I’m so proud of you!
More than you could ever know.
